The mission of Special Olympics Utah is to provide year-round sports
training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for
children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Utah (SOUT), a chapter of Special Olympics
Incorporated, was established in 1969. SOUT receives no local, state or
federal government support and is not affiliated with United Way. SOUT
is a non-profit Utah corporation, operated by Utahns for
Utahs intellectually disabled citizens. Every dime donated to SOUT
stays in Utah.
