KEVIN V. OLSEN is the Director of the Division of Consumer
Protection. Prior to his appointment as director in March 2006,
Mr. Olsen served as an Assistant Attorney General and as the
Enforcement Counsel to the Division of Consumer Protection.
Prior to working for the state, Mr. Olsen practiced law for 14
years representing consumers and small businesses. Mr. Olsen
received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of
Utah. He received his J.D. degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law
School at Brigham Young University. Mr. Olsen is admitted to
practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit,
the U.S. District Court for Utah, and the Utah Supreme Court.
He and his wife, Karilee, are the parents of six children and
four grandchildren.
