About Barbara Pioli …

Ms. Pioli (Barbara) has served as the development director for the Utah Humanities Council since 1998.  She comes to that position with having earned a masters degree in arts administration from the University of Utah, and over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations in a variety of positions.  At the Humanities Council, Ms. Pioli (Barbara) is part of the senior management team and spearheads Leadership for the Common Good—a specialized reading and discussion program for community leaders.  Ms. Pioli (Barbara) likes to think of herself as a “walking example” of incorporating the humanities into daily life by having recently resumed her study of the Italian language—a highly challenging, yet rewarding endeavor.
