including leadership roles in Republican Women’s organizations and on several non-profit boards. She currently serves on the Utah Federation of Republican Women Board.
A lifelong Republican, she has also had brief, top-level, “third party” experience when she helped Patrick Buchanan in his bid for the presidency. During that time, she became the National Press Secretary for the Reform Party. As a result, she is now a strong advocate for working within the existing two party-system to affect change.
Eagar believes the Republican Party has drifted too far from correct principles of
government in practice and says, ‘It’s time
for Republicans to stand up and start acting
like Republicans again.”
During the Viet Nam War, Eagar participated in a diplomatic mission for the Department of Defense. She toured the Pacific and Caribbean Commands as a member of an entertainment troupe called The BYU Young Ambassadors, representing American colleges. She says, “I’ll never forget staying at Guantanamo Bay and peering through that fence that separates freedom from socialism. Now, it seems to me that we are strangely peering through that same fence right here in America.”
She developed and produced a summer workshop training program in New York City for aspiring performing artists which trade paper Back Stage rated among the top two programs along with NYU’s program. She received highest ratings while on the faculties at the Orange County School of the Arts and at Brigham Young University

Calendar Notes:

In December, we will be having a winter party.  It will likely be on Saturday, December 5th.   Look for details as it gets closer.  Also, our winter party will take the place of our Wednesday meeting on December 9th.  If it can be arranged with the Salvation Army, our Annual Bell Ringing will take place on Wednesday, December 16th and will take the place of a Round Table meeting
