Why Camp Kostopulos?

Our highly trained staff, excellent counselor to camper ratios and fantastic accommodations set us above the rest. We don’t stop when the summer ends. During the rest of the year, participants may explore leisure activities throughout the Salt Lake Valley in camp’s community- based recreation programs. We offer K-Kid Adventures, an after school program for kids 7-12, as well as Teen Quest, and the Adult Social Club, which are evening programs that allow teens and adults to socialize and engage in a variety of activities. In addition to these activities, camp offers programs and facility rentals to many different corporate, civic and social groups. The Leadership Challenge program uses high and low challenge ropes course events with initiative programming to provide an excellent non-traditional training opportunity. Finally, private rentals of the Camp Kostopulos facility are offered on weekends during the summer and throughout the year. Weddings, retreats, school field trips, and company picnics can all be accommodated at our site. Service and volunteerism are at the heart of any nonprofit agency. Our success has been facilitated by the kindness and generosity of our community. Volunteers give their time and effort to assist in the programs or work on physical projects at camp. Others may choose to assist us financially. The rewards of giving back to your community can not be measured. Please contact us to become a part of the magic that is the Kostopulos Dream Foundation.

Camp Kostopulos

Since 1967 the Kostopulos Dream Foundation has been dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through the medium of recreation and leisure education. Our longest running program, Camp Kostopulos, is a residential summer camp where kids, teens, and adults with disabilities are able to choose from two options a five day residential camp or travel trips.

Campers enjoy fishing, horse riding, swimming, camp outs, sing songs, create arts and craft projects, challenge themselves on the ropes course, make new friends, and renew old friendships. The Travel Trip Adventures program offers campers a five day trip camp to places such as Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone Park, Colorado or Jackson Hole. Activities could include river running, hiking, viewing wildlife, and visiting attractions, this and much more are all part of these trips.

Our year round recreation program offers several weekly community based activities for people of all ages with disabilities who want to participate in recreation activities located either at Camp K, or
